[[Basics]]
- What is your cosplay alias?
Katilix Anonymous
- How many years have you cosplayed?
Three.
- How did you get into cosplaying?
Back in middle school, I was exposed to the world of cosplay. It took a while for me to actually start with the costumes and stuff, but it was immediate infatuation once I started.
- What was your first convention and how did it go?
Tekkoshocon Six. It was seriously amazing, although I didn't have many cosplay friends back then.
- How many cons have you been to?
Not many, let me just say that.
- How many cosplays have you done?
I'd have to say about seven or so.
[[Your Cosplays]]
- What was your first cosplay and why did you choose it?
Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach...I went as a casual version to a Halloween party n' did my hair all shwoopy-like. I even got the sword that looked pretty much like hers (a bit of differences on the handle). I just decided to when I saw one of my online mates doing casual Ichigo.
- What is your favorite cosplay you've done so far?
L. I always enjoy it when I'm dressed as L, even though we really don't look alike ^.^
- What is your least favorite you've cosplayed?
Sadly, Kabuto. Love the charrie, but the costume was a pain, along with the hair.
- What cosplay is the most uncomfortable?
Again, Kabuto. But my catgirl costume is pretty bad, too.
[[Process]]
- How do you research the cosplay before you make it?
Usually, I watch through episodes/clips or read through the manga itself. Google pictures. The usual. I also tend to look at other cosplays and see what they've done with it.
- Do you sew your cosplays yourself?
Sadly no X.X My sewing machine was out of commission for a while (we got it working last week! Yay!) So, maybe I'll start soon. But I have handsewn props for my cosplays before.
- If so, how did you learn to sew? If not, do you plan to learn?
I actually taught myself to handsew, really. My family was never a big arts-n-crafts group.
- Do you make your own props?
A few, a la shuriken, pouches, purses...
- If so, how did you learn to? If not, do you plan to learn?
Again, taught myself.
- Do you style your own wigs?
I wish X.X
- What other skills do you use to create your cosplays?
I just go with it, honestly. Whatever happens, happens in my world ^.^
- What skill has been most useful for making your cosplay?
Obsession and dedication!
- What is the hardest thing when making a cosplay?
The lack of moolah in my pocket...along with my malfuncioning sewing machine.
- What was the biggest screw up you've had making a cosplay?
Spilling Kool-Aid. Everywhere. On the fabric. On the sewing machine. On the DOG.
(...that last one was a lie, actually, I don't have a dog ^.^)
- How often do you injure yourself while making a cosplay?
A couple times. Few, though, yeah.
[[Budget]]
- Do you try to stay cheap or do you splurge on materials?
Not the cheapest, but usually the second-to-cheapest, really.
[[cos-PLAY]]
- Have you ever cosplayed with a partner or group?
Yup! Definitely.
- Do you try to act in character?
A good lot of the time, yes.
- Have you ever done fanservice at a con? (Yaoi, yuri, etc)
Um...*blush* Yes. Apparently, there's a lot of closet Kabuto/Orochimaru fangirls around here...
- How do you react to cosplayers dressed as character from the same anime/game/etc?
Smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave.
- Do you try to duplicate your character's expressions, walk, movements, etc?
Most definitely. I love the acting side of cosplay.
- When crossplaying, do you try to act as much like the gender as possible?
To a far point, yup!
- What was your funniest experience of acting in character?
Being the dumbest Misa Amane I could be ^.^
- What was your worst experience acting in character?
None yet, really. Besides the pain I got in my legs as I sat like L at the school lunch table...
[[Competition]]
- Do you compete in cosplay contests?
I wish.
- Have you won anything?
Nope!
- Do you prefer skits or walk-ons?
I usually like skits, especially the really well done ones.
[[Community]]
- How many friends have you made because of cosplay?
A good lot, really.
- Do you attend photo shoots and meet-ups outside of conventions?
Yes!
- What is the funniest reaction you've gotten cosplaying from people outside of the community?
The usual "WTF IS YOU WEARING?" stares from Walmart staff ^.^
- What was the worst?
The jerks that stereotype cosplayers...*sigh*
[[Future]]
- How long do you think you'll be cosplaying for?
The rest of my life.
- Name a few cosplays you're planning to do next:
DemyxTime! Zexion and Nekozawa.
- What is your dream cosplay?
Yuna, from FFX.
[[Misc]]
- What do you take into consideration when picking a character to cosplay?
Cost and difficulty.
- Is cosplay serious business for you?
Definitely.

The people that cosplay with me. Oh, and convention guests...
- What is your least favorite?
Hairy men in skirts.
- What is it that makes you keep cosplaying?
All the great things that come with it!
- How would you like cosplaying to change in the future?
Hopefully, my sewing will improve, and I can bust out some really awesome sxxt later!
- How do you want to grow as a cosplayer?
Just to improve and enjoy it ^.^
